Mocktails, Anyone?
by Michele Zipp
Salud, cent'anni, l'chaim! Here's to a celebration that includes the grandchildren.
Shirley Temple, take a bow ... and step aside. Some new entertainers have taken center stage. The effervescent, sometimes sparkly, always refreshing, and totally nonalcoholic mocktails. The only beverages you'll need for partygoers of all ages. Cheers!

| I don't drink at all, but if I did I would not hide it. Teaching children that it is acceptable to drink within certain parameters is behavior that they need to be comfortable with. This is how they learn self control as well as tolerance for those who break the rules. It is a choice to drink or not, and children need to learn how to make the appropiate choices.

| i see nothing wrong with RESPONSIBLE drinking. even in the company of children.
|
| I only drink a little at adult social events.
|
| I do not drink and I do not think children should be around drinking. I was raised in a alcoholic family and it did nothing put destory our family.
|
| Neither myself nor my husband drink. We did when we were younger and yes, we drank alcohol around our children. But we did not become intoxicated, and NEVER drove when we had had any alcohol. I feel children need to decide for themselves if this is a behavior they would choose, and if so that there are limits and rules that go with this behavior. Just like when you teach them that if you play with fire, you WILL get burned.
